Lady Bruins Fall Short in Play-off Battle

Posted Monday, February 27, 2006 by Tara Graf

The Baldwin Girl's Basketball team fought hard as the first round of playoffs slipped through their fingers. The girls came out strong, but defense and ball handling weren't up to par. The Lady Bruins were down 15 at the half, and had had enough! The third quarter boasted a strong domination by the Lady Bruins and even closed the gap to 5 points. But great shooting by Calhoun's Vasquez stretched their lead back out. The Lady Bruins should be congratulated on an incredible season! These young women worked hard every day, and really ended up being a team to be reckoned with, instead of a team to be walked on! Great job Ladies!!!
